About Us
The Sussex Cancer Trust (SCT) was established in 2015. Our goal was quite simply to create a safe and welcoming environment where children with terminal illnesses can spend their final weeks. As a subsidiary of the Youth Cancer Trust, the SCT are actively involved in their work which involves organising activity holidays for young people with cancer. Whilst our main focus is end of life care, we also provide respite accommodation, counciling, a family support line and financial guidance.
Did you know that every day, seven young people aged 6-18 hear the words “you have cancer”? Whilst early diagnoses gives youths a fighting chance of survival, around 5% of cancers are considered incurable. Sussex Cancer Trust ensures that those who require specialised nursing care get the very best treatment, and that support is provided to help patients and their families through the toughest of times. We’re the only West Sussex based charity dedicated to meeting this vital need and we urgently need your support to help us achieve this. Please contact the team to day and help in any way you can.
